Urethane Molding

When the need for multiple prototypes with similar production material properties occur, urethane molding is a great solution. By using RTV Silicone molds, TTH can bridge the gap between rapid prototyping and hard tooling at low cost and quick turnarounds of 1-2 weeks. The combination of low cost, quick turnaround, and similar material properties makes urethane molding a great alternative for low volume production.

How the Process Works:

• Create a SLA Master Pattern
• Finish the Pattern and Establish a Parting Line
• Pour Silicone Cavity and Core Around Master Pattern
• Remove Pattern and Cast Urethane Material
• Repeat Cast Urethane for Required Quantity
