TTH and SAS have made substantial financial commitments to serving the medical products industry, and we have extensive experience with applications ranging from helping manufacturers of large diagnostic systems to find new, more cost-effective parts production methods to delivering high-precision resin prototypes for custom surgical implants in a matter of hours. SAS is certified to ISO 13485:2003, a comprehensive quality system standard for the design and manufacture of medical devices. This international certification demonstrates our ability to provide medical devices and related services that consistently meet customer requirements and regulatory requirements applicable to medical devices and related services.
SAS is AS9100C certified in accordance with the standardized quality management system for aviation, space and defense industries. This certification required us to demonstrate a robust, highly specific methodology for ensuring the highest quality of production. Every aspect of our production process, from design to raw materials, through delivery and product support, meets the standards of the major aerospace regulators. SAS has made substantial investments in GF AgieCharmilles electrical discharge machining (EDM) machines. EDM offers a superior alternative to conventional machining of aircraft components, allowing us to produce parts to very tight tolerances. We hold Nadcap (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) certification for nonconventional machining. Nadcap is a global cooperative accreditation program for aerospace engineering, defense and related industries that seeks to ensure that manufacturers produce quality products in a cost-effective manner. In addition to these capabilities, we offer customers in the aerospace industry the advantages of stereolithography (SLA) for parts prototyping, five-axis complex machining of metals and plastics, tooling for mold injection, and plastic mold injection. We also produce all of our tools and dies in our in-house facilities so we have total oversight and control of the tooling used to make our customersâ€™ parts.
