Quality Processes, Procedures, and Equipment

Each part we create has specific criteria that must be measured and approved before final quality approval and shipment. Here are some of the tools, equipment, and processes we employ as required on your projects:

  • Optical Comparator: Allows us to magnify a part and display it on screen. This ensures we can accurately compare its dimensions and geometry.

  • Zeiss Contura G2 Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM): Allows us to measure a wide variety of components with an accuracy of 0.00008” over 3”. It’s ideal for measuring precision components and tooling to tight tolerances with high repeatability. A flexible articulating probe allows scanning in all angular positions.

  • Magnetoscope: Allows us to verify the magnetic content in parts and materials to ensure ferrous materials are not used in industrial products for MRI coil products.

  • Check Fixtures: Are used when necessary to ensure part repeatability when critical fitments and mating surfaces are needed.

  • Gages, Blocks, Surface Plates, and Pins: Are used as check and “go/no-go” devices to quickly and accurately check and approve parts meet specific print dimensions and tolerances.

  • First Article Reports: Are used for both prototype and production parts to verify processes and materials can create parts to specification.

  • Certificate of Conformance: Ensures products are made to print or customer specifications.

  • Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA): Is implemented on projects that require identification and evaluation for potential process failures.

  • Production Part Approval Process (PPAP): Ensures engineering design and product specification requirements are met for part approval.

  • Validation: Enables us to prove the accuracy of production across our additive manufacturing, injection molding, and CNC machining equipment with Installation Qualification (IQ), processes with Operational Qualification (OQ), and part manufacturing with Process Qualification (PQ).

  • ROHS and REACH Compliance: Restricts certain hazardous materials and/or chemicals from being used in the materials that make up products.

  • ISO Class 8 Clean Room: Enables us to control air particles when working, cleaning and packaging parts for production.
