We were chosen by Carbon to be one of the first 3D printing service bureaus in the world with the ability to produce prototypes and production parts using Carbon DLS 3D printing systems. This advanced DLS 3D printing technology delivers elastomeric and rigid materials that match or exceed injection molding standards for part quality, finish, and performance.
Unlike traditional prototyping-only methods, Carbon Digital Light Synthesis is a true digital manufacturing solution designed for customized parts and serial production. With Carbon DLS 3D printing, we help clients design, prototype, and manufacture functional parts for production applications across the medical, aerospace, industrial, consumer, and automotive markets.
Carbon Digital Light Synthesis (DLS) is a photochemical process that uses both light and oxygen to build parts. UV images generated by a digital light projector are projected through an oxygen-permeable window into a reservoir of UV-curable resin. Parts are built continuously in 25–100 micron layers, then washed, support-removed, and thermally cured to achieve final mechanical properties.
The result is production-ready parts delivered in days, not weeks, with exceptional surface finish and isotropic strength. Compared to SLA, FDM, and MJF, carbon DLS uses thermoset materials engineered for repeat production rather than one-off prototypes.
Learn how we partnered with NASA Johnson Space Center to create four Carbon DLS additive manufactured components used to control and fly the Seeker Robot for the NASA Seeker program.
Carbon 3D materials for the Carbon DLS process are engineered to rival traditional thermoplastics used in injection molding. Parts are tough, resilient, isotropic, and machinable, offering properties similar to ABS, glass-filled nylon, polypropylene (PP), and TPU.
The Carbon M2 offers a build volume of 7.4″ × 4.6″ × 12.8″ and is engineered for reliable, scalable carbon dls 3d printing production.
Carbon’s M3 Max printer features a true 4K light engine and expanded build volume (12.1″ × 6.4″ × 12.0″), delivering exceptional accuracy and repeatability for demanding production environments.
We also utilize Carbon’s Smart Part Washer and MMD equipment to automate washing and material dispensing, reducing labor costs while improving quality and traceability across production runs.
Q: What is Carbon Digital Light Synthesis (DLS) 3D printing?
A: Carbon Digital Light Synthesis (DLS) is a high‑performance 3D printing technology that uses light and oxygen‑permeable optics to rapidly cure resin into strong, detailed parts. It bridges the gap between prototyping and production by delivering parts with excellent mechanical properties and fine surface quality.
Q: How does DLS 3D printing from Carbon differ from traditional 3D printing?
A: Unlike some traditional methods that build parts layer by layer with visible step lines, Carbon DLS produces smoother part surfaces and greater consistency. It also enables faster build speeds and uses engineered materials that can meet demanding functional and end‑use part requirements.
Q: What kinds of parts can be produced with Carbon DLS 3D printing?
A: With Carbon DLS, TTH can produce functional prototypes, production‑grade components, tooling, and customized parts that require durability, accuracy, and fine details. It’s ideal for applications across automotive, medical, consumer goods, and industrial markets.
Q: Why choose TTH for Carbon DLS 3D printing services?
A: TTH combines Carbon DLS technology with expert design and manufacturing support, ensuring parts are optimized for performance and manufacturability. Their advanced process control and quality systems deliver reliable additive manufacturing results for both prototyping and production runs.
I truly enjoy working with the team at The Technology House - it has been a true partnership. Their extensive knowledge in product development and manufacturing is beneficial not only to Carbon, but also to end customers looking for manufacturing help. The Vitamix success story with Carbon is one proof point of their incredible work. You won't be disappointed when working with The Technology House!

I have partnered closely with TTH for over a year, and working with them has been a wonderful experience. Their entire team is always pleasant to work with, their project managers are incredibly knowledgeable, and their attention to quality and timeliness is best in class. I simply cannot recommend them highly enough for any project big or small.
- Jordan G., Additive Manufacturing Professional
Most of my 30 year career has been spent finding vendors that meet my Cost, Service, and Quality requirements. The number of suppliers that can meet those criteria for a sustainable period of time are few. TTH is one of those companies. The management team at TTH is always willing to work with us to improve efficiency and offer solutions that exceed our expectations. If you are looking for a partner, not just a supplier, the team at TTH will not disappoint.
